New research is intended to open up professional dialogue about the controversial idea of Internet addiction.
According to a study conducted by Stanford University, about six percent of Americans report their personal relationships have suffered due to their Internet usage. The study also finds nine percent of people try to hide some of their online habits at work or at home.
The study was not designed to prove Internet addiction is an actual psychological disorder, but rather to assess how serious the problem might be. more
