Bingo player's purse-snatch drama POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner had her purse stolen while walking home from a game of bingo. The woman, believed to be in her 60s, had over £100 stolen during the incident which happened as she walked home from a game of bingo.
Police said a man grabbed the purse from the woman during the incident, which took place on Wednesday evening at around 9pm. Officers said he is described as being white, around 5ft 10in tall, with a thin face. He is believed to be in his 20s and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a hat, a light colored fleece jacket with a navy sweatshirt underneath, jeans and light colored trainers.
