Sixty-2-year-old Ted Gibbons was nominated by his wife, Lydia, who submitted a three-minute video detailing her husband's knack for handmade gifts and personalized poetry. One Valentine's Day, she awoke to find her home covered with paper hearts.

The couple raised 12 children and will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary next month.

If Gibbons wins the contest, the couple will receive a 7-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera or the Caribbean.The contest is sponsored by Princess Cruises.
